Holey cow, on this poem.

I forgot to mention that part of the Irish in Twinkle Shooters sterday. Jsut as well, hee hee.

Whoever that guy was who said, and I paraphrase, "posting poems to the net is like taking a long walk off a short pier," was just an old sourpuss methinks. (Apologies if it was you, but something tells me it wasn't.)

Glad to have tumbled on you via our mutual "poetry" tag on Blogger.

Boy my typos were bad there, sorry.

Not making a very good first impression, I'm sure.

"I leave bruises
where I’ve kissed.."

i feel this,i feel it so bad it hurts.

ur words are wonderful,
it's just that
my wounds are too fresh.

wait for the bruises to heal
wait for the bruised to forget
wait for my heart to love again.
:)

My mouth was hanging open when I finished this! This is THE most unusual comparison, but perfect.

Salt and
gristle,
sparks and
cysts;
this heart
beats
bare-knuckle
fists

AMAZING!

Your titles are perfect - and this one is no exception!

This packs a punch - pardon the pun.
(and the alliteration)

We have all hardened our hearts (or had them hardened by someone) at one time or another. Thankfully, the heart fights on to love again. Fantastic sentiments!

When you rhyme like this, I'm all ears. And I'm not a big fan of rhyming poems. But you and Scott Ennis, along with a few other bloggers who delve into rhyming poetry, make me really sit up and listen and smile contentedly at the weaving of sound and meaning. ;)

Joaquin - I see that you just received an award, congrats - so I am heaping another on you. Lemonade Award is yours, if you feel like dealing with it. Swing by and get it, if so.

If, not...completely understandable. Just wanted you to know how I felt about your blog - but I think you already know. Have a great weekend - Kaye

Joaquin - I seem to be following K. around handing out seconds on Lemonade. I chose you, too, to give the Lemonade Award. Drink up, if you want.
